Liz Boocock

Since graduating with distinction from the University of Greenwich in 2013, I practiced for five years within the NHS, specialising in adults presenting with both acute and progressive neurological conditions.

During my postgraduate degree I developed an interest in working with adults with swallowing and communication difficulties. Since then I have worked at Northwick Park’s Regional Hyper Acute and Rehabilitation Unit, London (2013 – 2017), and the Oxfordshire Centre for Enablement (2017 -2018), where I led the speech therapy service for the continuing disability management service (CDMS).

Sarah-Jane Lewis

I graduated from Newcastle University in 2005 with a 1st class degree honours (BSc Speech and Language Sciences). I then worked in the NHS for 12 years, specialising in adults for ten years. I was a Clinical Lead Therapist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, working extensively with a range of communication and swallowing difficulties in adults, with a specialist interest in neurological conditions.

I was closely involved in the launch of the NHS Oxford Facial Palsy Service, acting as the Facial Therapist for the Region. This stemmed from my background as a Speech & Language Therapist in Neurosciences and a deep interest in working with facial weakness.

“Sarah-Jane places seeing and treating you as a whole person at the forefront of her treatment approach. She explains clearly at her first consultation with you what her diagnosis and recommended treatment plan is and remains informative, responsive, supportive, kind and caring throughout her treatment of you. Her detailed and specialist knowledge of facial structure and muscles is very evident in her approach.”

“I have benefitted enormously from being treated by Sarah-Jane for some slight one sided facial weakness that I was left with following a recent traumatic brain injury and I feel very grateful and lucky that I was able to access her expertise and services. I  certainly would be confident to recommend that anyone requiring help with facial weakness or speech problems makes use of her services.”
